BBC to remember the fallen

New programmes and interactive material due out this November

Published: 9 October 2008

This November, look out for a new feature-length documentary on BBC Two.

The Fallen will pay tribute to every single service person who has paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving the country in the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.

With intimate testimonies from family members of the fallen, as well as archive material featuring troops on the front line, the documentary will explore the impact that the losses have had on loved ones.

The Fallen is due to be broadcast around Remembrance Sunday. Check your local listings for more information.

The BBC is also launching a new campaign to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Armistice; 1918-2008: Ninety Years of Remembrance, which will run in the days leading up to 11 November. The campaign will feature a season of radio and TV programmes, free public events and online activities.

Viewers will be encouraged to post their family artefacts, photographs and memories on the special online remembrance wall. For more information, visit www.bbc.co.uk/remembrance
